Christopher Perrien, United States Naval Academy Class of 1974
Christopher Perrien is a 1974 graduate of the United States Naval Academy; a retired Technical Sales Executive with IBM; Secretary of the USNA’s Triangle Chapter; and the Founder, along with Matthew Cox, of AnchorRTP.com, a service dedicated to veterans in career transition to the Research Triangle Park.
A native of New Orleans, Christopher has lived in the RTP since 1985 with his wife, Tessa, and sons, Owen and Alexander.
Jeff Truitt, United States Naval Academy Class of 1993. Captain USNR
Jeff Truitt is the general counsel for Securrency, a blockchain technologies company that is helping remake the world’s financial infrastructure. Prior to this role, he served as a Corporate and Commercial Partner at Smith Anderson, a Raleigh-based law firm.
Jeff began his career as a nuclear-trained submarine officer on the USS FLORIDA near Seattle, and borrowed the idea for an official nonprofit to support the USS NORTH CAROLINA based on the legend of the “721 Club” that supported the submarine USS CHICAGO. As a former Navy JAG Corps attorney, he helps ensures that the 777 Club operates within ethical guidelines in its interactions with the Boat. As a member of the North Carolina Board of CPA Examiners, Jeff helps the Club maintains proper stewardship with its donors and regulatory authorities.
Jeff graduated with Distinction from the United States Naval Academy, and received an M.A. from the University of Maryland-College Park as well as a J.D. (with Honors) from the University of Chicago Law School. Jeff lives in Cary, NC, with his wife and three children. He is a qualified personal pilot and enjoys high intensity shooting sports.
Gregory Taylor, Paragon Bank
Greg Taylor is a Senior Vice President of Paragon Bank, a global, diversified financial services firm headquartered in Madrid, Spain. Greg works with Middle Market companies in a variety of stages to assist them in managing their capital profile, growth plans, international banking needs and treasury activities. A 20-year industry veteran, Greg has helped hundreds of clients in all facets of corporate banking.
Greg is a 2005 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, with a B.A. in Business Management.
He is passionate about the entrepreneurs he works with, coaching youth sports, community involvement and his family. Greg and his wife Libby live in Morrisville, NC, with their three children, Willie, John and Hannah Jane.
Andy Kell, Trestle Capital Partners
Andy Kell is a partner with Trestle Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank based in Raleigh, NC, that he helped found in 2003. He works with clients across all industries providing advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital formation and financing strategies. In addition, he is involved with a number of local start-ups, including udu, Inc., where he is a founder and VP of Finance, and BioFluidica, where he serves as interim CFO. Prior to joining Trestle, Andy worked as an investment banker with Greenhill & Co. and Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Andy received a BBA summa cum laude in Finance / Organizational Behavior and Business Policy from Southern Methodist University, where he was a President’s Scholar, and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, where he was a Bank of America Fellow.
Andy and his wife Amy live in Cary, NC, with their three children, Jack, Chase and Madison.
